Caroline started studying holistic therapies in 1999 and found her passion for this type of work that she continued studying in many different treatments. She first studied Reiki from level I, II, III to Masters level. This opened up Caroline's awareness to other healing areas and so her studying took off. She then was encouraged to study Craniosacral therapy the basics levels CST I & II, then Somato emotional release I & II and then progress  to paedriatrics and visceral manipulation. Caroline's studies took her to Florida, Scotland, the UK and various centres in Ireland.


In 2002 Caroline felt the need to offer more treatments to her clients and studied Reflexology in Co Limerick and was awarded her Diploma in 2003. While treating clients she realised that many of them would benefit from stretching exercises  similar to physiotherapy exercises to help improve their ailments and speed up their recovery so Caroline proceeded to study yoga in Cork and became a yoga teacher. She is fully qualified to instruct clients simple yoga stretches to be carried out at home to improve their bodies.

In 2003 Caroline also studies NeuroLinguisticProgramming (NLP) with the founder Richard Bandler and hypnotist Paul McKenna in London and received her practitioners certificate. Caroline integrates NLP with all her therapies as it helps change patterns of emotional and mental behaviour in order that the client can achieve more success and enjoy a happier and healthier personal life. Caroline works with new borns babies, young children, adolescents and adults.

All therapists must keep up with their continue professional development (CDP) and she does this by studying IET, Angel readings, sweat lodge, psychic development and dream interpretation courses on an ongoing  basis.

As Caroline's client list grew she had a vision of transforming the large bungalow in its wonderful peaceful surroundings into a holistic centre and training school.  Caroline wanted to provide a sacred healing space for her clients and realised in order to offer this she would need a degree to give herself  a good formal foundation. 

Caroline entered part time study in DCU and graduated with a honours degree in Education & Training in 2008. And now her vision has materalised and the house is a wonderful holistic centre.
 

When you arrive at the door of 'Avondale' the inspiring elevated views over the hinterland with the added sounds of song birds singing and in the distance the estuary of The River Fergus, it immediately calms the senses.  Avondale Holistic Centre offers many therapies by appointment and in the distant future will offer many weekend  courses.  'Avondale' truly embraces the spirit of relaxation, recuperation and healing.

Integrated treatments at the centre are especially tailored to meet the client's needs and comfort levels. Treatments can be 60-90 minutes  and are helpful in a wide range of physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional conditions. Healing is about restoring balance to your life. Treatments are a process of revitalisation, relaxation and releases at a very profound level that helps the body to adjust and heal spontaneously and at its own pace and its own way.
